ABOUT CRITERIA

People are more than their resumes.

Criteria was founded more than 20 years ago on a belief that still drives us today: resumes are poor predictors of success. They show where someone has been. Not how they think. They show titles and experience. Not potential. They show polish. Not performance.

OUR MISSION

See people clearly.
Decide with confidence.
Create opportunity.

For decades, companies have used resumes, gut feel, and inconsistent hiring practices to make some of their most important people decisions. The result is a hiring process that succeeds only 54% of the time, barely better than chance.

Criteria helps organizations see talent more clearly, make confident choices, and create more opportunities for people to do their best work, across any organization, any role, and any industry.

We believe talent decisions should be grounded in evidence, guided by fairness, and built on ethics. Because these decisions shape more than hiring outcomes. They shape careers, teams, businesses, and lives.

THE WAY WE WORK IS CHANGING

Roles are evolving. Skills are shifting. The most valuable human strengths are becoming more important, not less.

These are the qualities that help people thrive when work changes. But they are hard to see on a resume. That is why organizations need a better way to understand talent, not just where someone has been, but what they can do next.

OUR VALUES

Five principles impact every decision we make.

Lead with evidence

Clarity beats assumption. We use science, data, and validation to understand what matters and build what works

Build with fairness

Talent decisions shape lives. Fairness is not an add-on. It is central to the work.

Earn trust

Customers need to trust the signals. Candidates need to trust the process. Teams need to trust the decisions. We build for transparency, confidence, and accountability.

See the whole person

People are more than credentials, scores, or job titles. We build technology that helps organizations see people with more clarity and care.

Innovate responsibly

The future of work is changing fast. We believe innovation should move people forward, not leave them behind.
