Dr. Paul Holland, Criteria Scientific Advisory Board Member, Receives Career Achievement Award from the Association of Test Publishers

LOS ANGELES, CA - Criteria Corp. announced today that Dr. Paul Holland, a member of Criteria's Scientific Advisory Board, received the 2008 Career Achievement Award from the Association of Test Publishers. Dr. Holland was presented with the award at the ATP conference that concluded today in Dallas. Dr. Holland was recognized for his work in psychometrics in test equating, differential item functioning (DIF), causal inferences, and relating item response theory (IRT) to models in classical test theory. During the course of his distinguished career he has taught at Harvard University and the University of California, Berkeley, has authored more than 100 publications, and has received numerous awards. He served as president of the Psychometric Society in 1989, and was a Fellow for the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University from 1991 to 1992. Most recently he served as the first Distinguished Research Scientist at the ETS, before retiring in 2007.
