Technical Support Specialist

Criteria is looking for an IT Support Specialist to help support our IT operations. Successful candidates will have a basic understanding of IT methodology and solutions, be forward thinking, and be able to assist and collaborate with other members of the Global Enterprise IT team in support of those technologies. This will include (but is not limited to) Slack, Zoom, Office 365 technologies, Windows 10, MacOS, AWS, and others as required.

What you’ll do: 

  • Provide proactive, excellent IT support to on-site and remote employees  

  • Manage and respond to, resolve, and/or escalate employee support requests as necessary 

  • Assist with large-scale and global IT projects and tasks  

  • Manage computer and IT equipment life cycles Support cross-department initiatives and remote users/offices  

  • Troubleshoot tasks and operating system/application support on Microsoft Windows OS, Mac OS, and other platforms  

  • Process employee account creation and deletions during onboarding and offboarding 

  • Train end-users on hardware functionality and software programs. 

  • Monitor hardware, software, and system performance metrics. 

  • Update computer software. as well as upgrade hardware and systems. 

  • Document processes and perform diagnostic tests. 

  • Keeping track of technological advancements and trends in IT support. 

  • Provides technical support—identifying, investigating, and resolving users’ problems with computer software and hardware 

  • Maintains knowledge of technology innovations and trends.   

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.  

We’d love to hear from you if you have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is desirable.   

  • Minimum of two years of related experience required or equivalent certifications. 

  • Excellent written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Understanding of computer hardware and software systems. 

  • Excellent time management skills. 

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. 

  • Proficiency with Office 365 administration 

  • Windows and Mac operating systems troubleshooting experience 

  • Network troubleshooting and configuration 

  • Ability to explain technical issues to technical and nontechnical employees and customers. 

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn an array of computer hardware and software.
